Sponsorship Opportunities

ICS 2013 encourages sponsorship support from industry, government, and institutions. Support can take the form of monetary and in-kind contributions. In general, contributions are used for various purposes ranging from honoraria for keynote speakers, prizes for best papers / posters, improved social events (receptions, conference dinner), special consideration on registration costs, and travel support for students. Targeted sponsorship for specific ICS 2013 support is welcomed and a list of opportunities is provided below.

Support Levels

There are three ranges of sponsorship levels for ICS 2013. These are listed below along with their specific benefits. All sponsorships will be acknowledged in announcements before the event, on the ICS 2013 web site, during the conference, and in the proceedings.

Platinum ($5,000+)

Gold ($3,000 – $4,999)

Silver ($1,000 – $2,999)

Bronze ($500 – $999)

Support Opportunities

ICS 2013 has several opportunities for platinum and gold sponsors to receive exclusive recognition for one of the conference’s highlighted activities.

Best paper. The awardee would receive a plaque, recognition on the web page, and a sponsored gift of some kind. The sponsor will be recognized at the award presentation and on the ICS web page. (Support level: $3,000)

Workshop/Tutorial reception. The ICS workshop/tutorial reception will take place at the Eugene Hilton on Sunday evening, June 9. The sponsor will be recognized at the event by a poster and signage on tables. (Support level: $3,000)

Keynote speaker. The expenses and a honorarium for the ICS 2013 keynote speaker would be provided. The sponsor will be recognized in the conference proceedings and on the ICS web page. (Support level: $5,000)

Transportation. Some ICS events will take place on the University of Oregon campus. Providing transportation for attendees to the conference events is important, and sponsorship of shuttle transportation expenses is a valuable contribution to ICS success. The sponsor will be recognized by shuttle signage, and thanked in the opening conference remarks. (Support level: $6,000)

Opening reception. The ICS opening reception will take place at the Jordan Schnitzer Art Museum on the University of Oregon campus on Tuesday evening, June 11. The sponsor will be recognized by the UO Vice President for Research in her opening remarks, and by a poster and signage on tables. (Support level: $8,000)

Conference dinner. The ICS conference dinner is being planned to take place at the King Estate Winery on Thursday evening, June 13. The dinner will include opportunities for tasting King Estate’s exceptional wines. The sponsor will be recognized by a poster and signage on tables, and thanked in the opening dinner remarks. (Support level: Dinner – $10,000, Wine – $5,000)

Conference lanyard. The lanyard used for the ICS name tag for all attendees could be printed with a sponsor’s name and logo. (Support level: $4,000)

Conference notepad or pen. A notepad or a pen with the sponsor’s name and logo is provided to all attendees. (Support level: $2,500)
